Lots of year round activities at this old-time little village in the NJ Pine Barrens. The village was popular for the propagation of blueberries by Elizabeth White, hence the name. We were here tonight for Moth Week. The activity was all about moths and had some moth experts. White cloths were hung with special lights to view the moths (and other insects) attracted to it. We had a nice time seeing some interesting moths and learning from others. The little general store was also opened for treats. The highlight was a beautiful and probably young Luna Moth who hung out on a man's shirt for a long time even after we left at 11 PM. A fun night of learning!

Wonderful historic village with beautiful trails. It’s one of many things which I look forward to summer is going to the Blueberry Festival. The birthplace of NJ blueberries. Wonderful blueberry festival held annually in June. Small and truly Americanna. Fantastic music and all the blue berries you can eat and purchase galore. If you like NJ history, & the culture of our unique Pinelands, this is a perfect place to spend some time. A small historic village famous for their production of cranberries and blueberries! Always enjoy the annual Blueberry Festival. One time, I made front cover story of Whitesbog Blueberry Festival on the local newspaper Burlington County Times. Was so nice to visit Whitesbog for the festival, which is very easy to find. They have blueberry muffins, cookies, pies and delicious blueberry donuts and hand scooped ice cream topped with fresh blueberries. The General store is original and filled with history and goodies also. Walk around and go in all the all the buildings they are also full of history and volunteers who are quite knowledgeable. Whitesbog is amazing! I loved it. They have a general store stocked with local books, food trays and snacks. Check out their website they have various events to support the park. If you're at all interested in NJ history, agricultural history, or just want a beautiful daytrip to see something new, check out Whitesbog. The history of the blueberry starts in the Pine Barrens. Everyone who enjoys a blueberry pancake or blueberry fritter owes a debt of gratitude to Elizabeth Coleman White. It's also a wonderful place to celebrate a pioneering woman who gave us the modern blueberry. Nice place to walk around in. They have some old looking buildings. I had a good time.

I'll start with the positive: the historic aspect of the place is pretty cool. The live music was enjoyable. For people with disabilities, it was nice that their store & the 'museum' were accessible.(however, the terrain is sand/grass/dirt) That being said: the blueberries were mediocre at best and 5 bux a pint.(Aldi has Hammonton blubes for $1.99) There were supposed to be food trucks.(there were zero), but I was told they all bailed even tho it was a beautiful day. The vendors were nice, I just wasn't in the market for their wares. The general store was a quaint place but pricey. Interesting place to visit, but there are nicer. Seems run down since it was supposed to be the CRANBERRY capital, but is surrounded by overgrown dry bogs.

Took a little road trip to Brown Mills and passed the entry to this state park. Nice flat terrain. Cranberry bogs. It appears they hold a few festivals at this location. Nice place to spend some time with your canine bear friend. We will return in the winter to see it in the snow. Also cute little general store

Flat hiking, some boardwalk across swampy areas. There is a numbered hike showing local flora such as red cedar and mountain laurel. Beautiful views of several cranberry bogs.
