Palisade is great for driving along a route and stopping to check out the wineries and farm stands. Be sure to get your hands on a map with routes, lists, produce schedule, and other tips. This particular market is actually quite large with all kinds of different temptations.

My wife and I were actually looking for another place along the same road and stopped due to the name being about the same. We were looking for homemade pies and when we walked in we smelt the aroma of pies cooking. They were still cooking and were told it would be about half an hour before we could get one so we left and came back in about twenty five minutes and the pie was ready. It was strawberry rhubarb which I can't find in Texas and it was delicious. So when you visit here try a pie as he also had peach.

They have delicious jams and jellies, also pie fillings, really quite a selections. There is also a Alicia’s on Main Street, grand junction. They sell shirts and Knick knacks of all sorts. If you are visiting grand junction this place you should definitely visit.

This place has been in the valley since the 1990's and specialized in dried fruits, jams, jellies, salsas, and some fresh fruit. Unlike many farm stands, it is open year round. There is such a profusion of canned goods here that I asked Alida if she makes them all. She said - if her name is on it, she made it. Wow, busy lady. I particularly enjoy Snow Cherries - dried cherries in white chocolate. I don't know why I love these so much (I am not a white chocolate fan) - but these are so good. I have used them as a hostess gift. They are so different and the cherries have such a vibrant flavor. Before we moved here, my in-laws used to send us boxed Palisade Peaches from Alida and we loved getting them. This is definitely a family business.
