tripadvisorThis would make a nice stop on a long day of travel with kids, a place they could exercise a little. The fort is a replica of the one that was at Fort Hall. It has a blacksmith’s shop complete with a forge and horseshoes, etc. There are also authentic buildings nearby on site: a cabin, a school, a church, a train depot, as well as a constructed tiny “town” set up.Nearby, the museum offers free water when it’s hot.
MoreStopped here on our Idaho road trip and was pleasantly surprised. It's a replica of an old fort that you can walk through. There is a lot of signage explaining the history and where exactly the original Fort was located (it's not the current location). Some of the rooms you can enter but others you can only look in. It's actually part of the Bannock County Historical Museum, and admission gets you entry to both. We really enjoyed our visit and recommend to anyone traveling through Pocatello.
MoreThis was our last stop on our Oregon Trail adventure. There is a museum as well as a replica of Fort Hall. It is next to the zoo. Lots to see and explore here. We loved it.
