Evergreen Cemetery is nicely landscaped with a variety of pines, maples, oaks and smaller flowering trees so it is beautiful in any season. It is well maintained, for example flags on graves for Memorial and Veterans Day, and wreaths in Little Arlington for the winter holidays. Deer are common sight, especially late afternoon since the cemetery adjoins a nature park on its west side. We walk our dogs (as do others) and visit the gravesites of family and friends regularly. (Dog owners are courteous and always clean up after their dogs as needed.) It's a lovely place to stroll.

Came to visit my mom, aunt, cousin and grandparents' graves and was very disgusted to see how poor the cemetery grounds looked. Weeds are everywhere and grass doesn't look like it's been mowed in ages! Doesn't Evergreen have any staff to take care if these things? Very disappointed considering how much it costs to have someone buried here! Not impressed!!!

Evergreen Cemetery is one of three City of Lansing cemeteries. It is large and very well taken care of. The roads are in good repair and the grass is mowed. Some very interesting tombstones and monuments.
