This neighborhood has plenty of restaurants and quirky little shops. There's a mix of luxury high rise apartment buildings and beautiful single family homes. There is a large gay population and a beautiful rainbow sculptures welcoming you to the neighborhood. I really enjoyed this neighborhood.

This is one of the few groovy neighborhoods in Dallas, some diversity, some nice streets for walking around to see what they have. Cool restaurants and bars. A different vibe.

As with any urban redevelopment, Oak Lawn is filled with wonderful restaurants, some entertainment facilities and a flavor of urban life that resonates to the young emerging career crowd. Know what you are seeking and have a good GPS

The center of Gay life in Dallas. Filled with restaurants, bars and shopping. Always filled with people of every sexual gender. Very pleasant and safe area. Home of the Dallas Pride Parade every year.

maybe i would appreciate it more if i have more connections to hang out with around this area, if not as a passerby, there is nothing much there that amazes me. oh maybe just the wall with two rows of violins? i guess i will only be there for the halloween party.
