tripadvisorThis place is great! Not only are there memorials to check out, but there is a playground and huge trees for kids to climb. It is also nice to walk on the path and enjoy nature. It also has a Frisbee golf course! This is a great place for tourists who want to do a cheap but fun activity in Idaho Falls , ID.
MoreWe went to this park to see the Vietnam Memorial as we lived through that era and lost friends in the war. It is a very beautiful tribute to those lost in the war. Very moving. The park is home to many other things. First it is a nicely laid out park with lots of grassy open area. It is also connected to the River walk and you can hike or stroll along the river and watch fly fisherman doing their thing. The park also has ball fields, a band shell and places to picnic. Very nice respite from the hustle and bustle of downtown.
MoreOne of the best areas to view the river. There is a small trail going right down next to the river where you can relax. We saw many people fishing and having picnics there. It also has a vast amount of open grass, although some areas are part of the frisbee golf so you would need to be mindful of that. There are some covered areas available. There is also a Vietnam war memorial honoring the individuals who served in the war in the area. Overall great place to visit and relax on a day off.
MoreThis is a nice place to walk, or to bring the children and let them play. Sometimes there are painted rocks around for the children.
MoreSaw the sign from the Interstate and went to find it. It is a great tribute to those killed in Action and the POW's from Idaho. Love the detail work of the sculpture on the wall. Well worth the drive to find it. Only trouble is there isn't enough signs to find it. It is on the grounds of Idaho University, Idaho Falls, Idaho.
