Loved this hotel and Chandlers Steakhouse

Great location. Nice hotel, but wouldn't say it's really boutique-y. Staff was friendly enough, although I did ask for some extra soaps (I was willing to purchase), and although I left my request, with name and phone number, at the front desk, no one ever returned a phone call. My room was very spacious, which I appreciated. The shower, though, was odd... only a half piece of glass, so the other half of the shower was completely open, leaving me cold when I tried to shave my legs. Book this hotel based on location.

Hotel 43 is located in the heart of Boise, Idaho. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Boise. I also recommend visiting Chandlers Restaurant located below the hotel. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful.

I was absolutely horrified to discover how disgusting and dirty the sheets were during my two-night stay. What was even more disturbing was the hotel management’s response, or lack thereof.I asked several times to speak with a manager, expecting at the very least some concern or a simple apology. Instead, there was no apparent interest in the situation and not even a note of apology. It was as if dirty sheets were simply not a big deal.Hopefully, this review will finally get their attention and encourage them to take cleanliness and guest concerns seriously.Two words: NEVER AGAIN.

I had stayed at Hotel 43 many times before and always liked the hotel, especially the downtown location and the convenience of being attached to Chandlers. On this stay, however, I had an issue with the air conditioning the first night, and although it improved after I brought it to the hotel’s attention, it still wasn’t completely resolved the second night.When I checked out, I explained how disappointed I was and said I probably would not stay again. What happened afterward completely changed my impression. Ben, the General Manager, personally called me, let me know that my stay had been fully comped, and offered me a complimentary future night so I would give the hotel another try. I had not asked for either of those things.Problems can happen at any hotel. What matters is how management responds when they do. Hotel 43 handled this as well as they possibly could and turned a very disappointing experience into a positive one. I appreciate the way they stood behind the guest experience, and I will absolutely continue to stay there when in Boise.
