tripadvisorRooms are okay, but do not get room 252z you will be up all night when people sit at table talking and it carries into room. If you ask for a change of rooms they tell you they will, but when you try they are all sold out. Finally they will take pitty on you after your door suddenly fails and you get locked out of your room for 2 hours and then locked in room for an hour. Then when door is broken they will give you another room and laugh as they offer you 500 pts. The manager will not even email you back when yiu send one to them.
MoreOur stay was extremely disappointing, and the customer service afterward made the experience even worse. The room was in poor condition: there was a hole in the wall, garbage under the bed—including an entire disposable cup—bugs on the carpet, and a broken shower.I politely reported the condition of the room to the front desk at checkout and specifically asked that my concerns be passed along. No one contacted me. Only after I posted a review did Assistant General Manager Corrine Turcotte reach out, saying she had not previously been made aware of the issues. She apologized and specifically offered to add points to my Bonvoy account if I provided my membership information.I promptly sent the requested information, but the points were never added and I received no response. After I followed up, Corrine sent a vague reply stating that they had looked into the issues, but she did not acknowledge her offer of points or explain why it had not been honored. I wrote once more to point out the discrepancy and received no response at all.I was not the person who initially requested compensation. Corrine offered it, asked for my account information, and then failed to follow through or communicate. Between the unacceptable condition of the room, the front desk apparently not passing along my concerns, and the assistant general manager’s lack of follow-through, this was some of the poorest customer service I have experienced at a Marriott property. We had stayed here previously and had a much better experience, but after this stay and the way my concerns were handled, I would not choose this property again.
MoreUpdated:We previously stayed here a couple years back and it was pleasant. Unfortunately this time around our stay could have been much better. The property has aged drastically with stains, tears in the curtains and carpet, and visible water damage to walls in the hallway and our bathroom. The room was decently spacious so that was a perk. We had asked staff if there was a cart to roll our belongings to our room given that we were moving out of state and had some valuables to bring inside. They were not helpful and said we would have to search for one. Breakfast was extremely crowded, given it was a Sunday morning. There were lines, items that had run out, and limited seating. For the nightly price, the value definitely doesn’t match the quality. We would not stay here again.———-Past stay:I had booked one night for my partner and myself at this SpringHill Suites since I've had good experiences previously with the hotel chain and like the suite set. This particular hotel is located near many Boise ParkCenter restaurants--we recommend Barbacoa for Happy Hour or dinner--and only a seven minutes drive from downtown Boise. Our room that we were assigned was very quiet being on the third floor in a corner nook of the building's design. While I do value a quiet room over a bright one, my one complaint was the room's natural light was pretty minimal. In addition there were no ceiling lights, just all manual lamps. The bathroom was pleasant with great water pressure and a sink outside for shareability. I will say that they need more towel hooks besides one since these suites are usually for 2-4 people. I had to use the a clothing hanger in the closet. I did get some remote work done during my visit and the Wi-Fi had a good speed. The in-room desk with convenient plugs is a perk.I was also shocked at how popular the lobby was. Multiple groups of people hung out at all hours of the day, beyond the free breakfast hours. There is also outdoor patios with heat lamps and bikes for rent. One suggestion for travelers is to fill up their reusable water bottles in the fitness center where there's a filtered water machine, though it would be nice to have another option such as one per floor. All in all, a pleasant stay.
MoreWe stay at this hotel because it is close to family. The staff is nice but the hotel is looking rundown inside. Not very clean. One of the elevators has been broken the last two times we've stayed there. Very much in need of an update.
MoreI stayed four nights while in town on business. The location is good, just outside of downtown. The hotel is updated. The room was clean. The bed was pretty comfortable. Breakfast was decent. The thermostat offers a constant fan option for better sleep. If you’re looking for a great restaurant, Barbacoa is across the street. The one negative is that the walls are super thin. You can actually hear your neighbors talking. With that being said, it will still be my go to when in Boise.
