I have been to Sheslow Auditorium many times. I attend musical concerts there about once every month for the Civic Music Association. I have attended New York Times best selling author speeches hosted by the Des Moines Public Library. I have attended debates by Presidential candidates. I have also attended recitals by famous musicians who come to Drake to teach and give recitals. Students also give public recitals as part of their music education. The auditorium is constantly being used for some university function or some other community function. The Fine Arts Department also has public dance recitals and theatrical productions in this auditorium. It is a beautiful facility.
