Boston Fire Department Fire Station

Established in 1631, the Fire Department is administered by the government of the City of Boston in Massachusetts. The department is responsible for protecting life, property and environment through emergency medical and fire prevention and education services. The Fire Department serves a population of more than 550,000 spread over an area of over 45 square miles. It operates more than 30 fire stations and employs nearly 1600 staff members. The department maintains marine, special, rehabilitation, brush fire, hydrant thawing and hazardous material units, as well as several engine, ladder and rescue companies. The Fire Department operates through various divisions, including fire suppression, fire prevention, fire training, fleet and facilities, special operations command, personnel, fire alarm, and emergency planning and preparedness.

Polite fireman saw us walking bye and looking at the trucks....invited us in for a closer look. Good thing they weren't offering candy too or I would have thought something was amiss. Then again...
