Charles Piggott House Building

The only surviving castle of the city, the Charles Piggott House is certainly a historical landmark. Also referred to as the Piggott's Castle, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1979. The architectural style of the house is described as reflecting the Romanesque-Revival style. Also known as Mount Gleall Castle, this historical building named after Charles H. Piggott has four bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms. At the turn of the economic despair in 1893, the Piggott family was forced to sell it, and thus was derived the name 'Piggott's Folly', another moniker for the house.
