Great lake to walk around almost 2 mile trail. Plus, you can walk down the cement path thru the neighborhood to the end next to a school to make it a good hour walk. We park off Mc Mahr St across the street from the school. Start your walk there up a few paved blocks to get to top where the park is and the lake. Restrooms in parking lot. It's a very small lot.

The trail around the lake is paved and .8 miles. Super nice and wide. Not a whole lot of parking. If you want a challenge there is a hill connected to the trail that is wonderful

Not for all but a advanced trail leaking up a large hill. Last time I went I did 12 miles. Loop around Discover lake is about a half mile. Easy walkl Up the hill is much more difficule the the lake loop.

First time there in a couple years, used be a beautiful place, the lake has been taken over by plants. Can’t believe the city let it go like that. What a shame.

Wonderful, out-of-the-way park with nice trails and lake. Perfect for bird watching and photography (my thing) as well as hiking/jogging or just taking in the quiet. Although nestled in a community, the park can become a bit busy though I didn't experience a lot of crowding. You are expected to follow basic courtesies such as picking up after your dog. You can fish in the lake but check regulations regarding license requirements. Fishing is catch-and-release only and no boats are allowed. All in all, it was a great visit... something for the whole family or a micro-getaway for a morning or afternoon. So if you are into quiet or other outdoor activity, head out to Discovery Lake.
