There are guided tours held that explores the church from its garden to its Chumash history. Also on location is a church museum and a gift shop that displays Chumash artifacts along with other religious items. Renowned for its mission bells, the parish church is more than just an attraction. Regular masses are held and the congregation mostly comprises locals.

tripadvisorThis was one of the smaller missions we’ve been to, but the grounds itself are very pretty. Glad we were able to explore this mission and see how different this mission is to the others!
MoreThis lovely Catholic Basiica in the center of town is a beautiful place to spend some quiet time. I really wanted to attend a mass there, but there was only a 7:30 a.m. daily mass during the week and I missed it There is so much to see including a cast marble replica statue of Michaelangelo's Pieta, well manicured gardens, a historic wooden bell, many well preserved relics, and a wonderful statue of Saint Kateri Tekakwitha outside behind the Basilica. Definitely worth taking the time to visit this historic mission.
MoreI cannot believe that Archbishop Gomez gave Fr. Tom (the pastor) permission to charge individuals and groups $300 to go through the jubilee door. Ridiculous! Put the business aside at least throughout the jubilee! Just a sad experience that brings back little things that got Friar Martin Luther upset with the church.
MoreA pleasant, informative and enlightening tour experience. Reasonable fee, and a self guided tour from the gift shop. The museum contains some stunning relics from the past, and the grounds are beautifully kept. This is a mission stop that is not to be missed.
MoreThe mission it self is kept up very well. Walking in it’s hard to believe this beautiful church is well over 200 years old. There is a small room in the back with a great full size recreation of the famous Pieta statue from the Vatican. The garden although small they are beautiful with a number of statues.
