My family visited Baylor last year for a campus tour with my rising senior. We had already toured South Carolina, Clemson, Georgia, VT, Tenn and Texas A&M. Baylor was by far the best tour, nicest people, most beautiful campus. They really treat you like family from the time you show up until you leave. He has since been accepted and will be attending this Fall 2024. His academic advisor has been there every time we have a question with an immediate response either via email or text. And he visited the Charlotte area, and we were able to meet him in person. When you think of what a great college experience looks like, it's Baylor. Being private, Christian and conservative were all pluses for my son and his interests. We are delighted and thankful that he chose Baylor and are so excited to see him go, learn, grow, thrive and excel as a Bear this Fall!
MoreI am totally ashamed of Baylor for capitulating to the cancel culture group. I graduated from Baylor (class of 1964) and am totally appalled by the actions of the board and the president ..... history is history, and this university would not even be in existence without their efforts all those years ago. You judge by what was going on at the time and what was accepted at that time. Things change and not always for the better... but don't downgrade these men for the good they did starting this university.
MoreThe campus is very beautiful, but has changed so much from when I attended 1960-65.Back then, the campus was also a beautiful campus, but felt more comforting. Today the school is so much larger, and so many things have changed, but then 20,000 students today vs 4,000 back when I attended. Baylor has a great reputation as an academic institution, of which I feel proud that I was able to graduate with honors.
