Monument Park, located on Division Street, was established in 1917 in honor of C.W. Post, one of the most prominent citizens of Battle Creek. In 1997, a monument dedicated to Sojourner Truth, designed by Tina Allen was unveiled in the park. Depicting Truth at one of her speeches, this statue serves as a constant reminder of the great lady's achievements. Admission in the park is free of charge.
