A bit of a hiccup with the initial room (late check-in), but front desk especially the cheerful young lady :) being so helpful and swiftly fixed and the rest has been perfect which is exactly what I need for a worry-free 5-night stay!
MoreI stayed at the Residence Inn near the airport and the room was very clean and nice with a big fridge. The only problem I had with it was for being an airport hotel the place doesn’t have an airport shuttle so you will have to take a taxi, Uber or rent a car. Uber wanted $17 so I took a taxi which was right there for $20. The bed was comfortable and the grounds are well kept. If you rent a car this is a good hotel to stay at but if you don’t find another hotel that has an airport shuttle.
MoreWhen I go to a Residence Inn, I know what to expect. The brand has a pretty standard look and feel regardless if you are staying at their location in Portland, Maine or Portland, Oregon. My experience at the property near the Phoenix airport was pretty favorable. Friendly staff during our late-night check-in. Very clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Fitness center had working cardio machines and good selection of free weights. The free breakfast is free (still not 100% that those are real scrambled eggs). Location is right next to AZ-202 and you are less than 10-minutes away from downtown. Side notes: We did hear gun shots one night during our stay. For our two-bedroom suite, only one remote worked for the three television sets. Parking can be a little tight unless you park in the back of hotel.
MoreWhile the accommodations were pretty much up to the standards one expects with a Marriott property, this hotel does not have shuttle service to and from the airport, which resulted in the expense and inconvenience of ordering a taxi. We will not stay there again when we fly to Phoenix, and will find other accommodations that provide shuttle service.
MoreNice comfortable hotel. Entrance to parking lot is difficult when having to turn left to enter as there is no turn lane and driveway pointed for cars turning in from the right.
