Reviews
tripadvisorSo shocked to see the neighbourhood of this hotel. I appreciate there’s probably not much the hotel can do about it but the price indicated we were in a reasonable place. Didn’t feel safe at all. The room was clean but I was glad to leave and move on.
MoreThe manager Melissa Bell was amazing. We were there for my girlfriend’s birthday and our anniversary. She welcomed us with gifts and an email and it was much appreciated. The staff was very professional, and I had no problems throughout my stay. Unfortunately, for us during this time, the bistro was closed at night, so we could not make use of the drink tickets that we were provided but other than that, we had an absolutely amazing time staying at the courtyard. Thank you to Melissa and her amazing staff for an amazing time. The hotel was clean. There was plenty of things to eat around the area. In general, everything was easy to access.
MoreNot sure if you’ve seen my previous two reviews about the Comfort Suites and Motel 6, but that’s exactly how I ended up at the Marriott. After a very long night, I first stopped at the SpringHill Suites. They were fully booked, but the clerk there was great — she called over to the Courtyard to see if they had availability, and thankfully they did. When I arrived at the Courtyard, I had to wait a few minutes to check in, but during that time I met Erika. She was welcoming, friendly, and easy to chat with. After the chaos I’d experienced at the other two hotels, her attitude was a breath of fresh air. She got me into my room as quickly as she could, and I was immediately relieved. The room itself was spacious and the bedding was clean. Next time, I wouldn’t choose a first-floor room facing the pool — the glass door felt a bit awkward — but overall it was still comfortable. The hotel was quiet, the water pressure was solid, and although the shower controls were a little hidden, once I figured it out everything worked great. I also appreciated the housekeeper who noticed me leaving and kindly asked if I needed service even though I had my “Do Not Disturb” sign on. She was very polite. There’s no free breakfast here, and I wasn’t staying long enough to check out the other amenities, but they do have plenty of parking.Overall, I would stay here again.
MoreStayed at the Courtyard by Marriott Phoenix North for one night after an early evening arrival and before heading up to Sedona. The hotel itself is consistent with what you’d expect from a typical Courtyard, clean, functional, and reliable. As usual for this brand, Bonvoy benefits were minimal, which I anticipated, and I didn’t end up using any of the onsite amenities. I grabbed breakfast at a nearby Starbucks before stopping at Walmart for supplies. The hotel’s location right off I-17 is convenient for road travel, though it does come with noticeable highway noise. Fortunately, once inside the room, with the fan running, the sound wasn’t disruptive. The rooms are arranged around a central courtyard, which adds a bit of charm but also allows some ambient noise from other guests. We were pretty tired after a long flight, so it didn’t impact our rest much. One odd design choice is the placement of the elevators. They’re located deep within the guestroom corridors rather than directly off the lobby, which makes for a surprisingly long walk with luggage. Not a deal-breaker, but definitely something to be aware of.Overall, it was a convenient and perfectly serviceable overnight stay for travelers passing through Phoenix.
MoreMy husband and I had a wonderful time at Courtyard Phoenix North! The location is close to family as we were there to celebrate my Mom's 89th birthday. So, we loved being a short driving distance to her house. The room was spacious and clean and the staff is fantastic and attentive. They recently remodeled and it looks great! We look forward to another visit in the near future.
