tripadvisorHis story is amazing. I would argue maybe the best in America. If you wanna look great wearing designer brands for literally less than you would pay at Walmart this is a store for you .If you think I’m kidding or over exaggerating, I’m not I promise. It’s a direct flight from where I live and I go there at least once or twice a month just to go shopping.Let me try and explain: the store is full of great designer brands, the highest of the high-ends get a discounted, every item in the store is tagged at a final price and each tag has one of a handful of colors on that tag either green, yellow, pink, blue purple, etc.Usually, every week one of those colors is half off throughout the week anything that you find that has that color of tag is half off. Except for on Friday and Saturday beginning Friday morning, when they open, all items are 80% off in that specific tag. Imagine finding a T-shirt just as I have many times that is $6.97. Then apply 80% off and I get the T-shirt for $1.40 brand new.It seems that the items are either shelf pulls, overstock, Nordstrom and Nordstrom rack returns, and online returns. This store is a jungle and the wild wild West it’s a fun, fun experience. It’s like garage showing among the best clothing. But probably cheaper. No, hear some hints: It seems as if they restock every night and put out new items. The value is finding the items that they put out that also are tagged for either the 50% or 80% cell for that corresponding color. They are not skimpy with adding new additions. In fact, usually at least one time during the daytime they will also go through and clean the shoe aisles out and also add new items called it restock where they will rope it off. Ask everyone to stay out while they clean it and restock for usually 45 minutes to an hour, then you wait in line and then run back in and look for the deals. Imagine finding shoes in the general shoe section for women like Tory Burch that for instance might be $295 of Amazon that might be $80 at the last chance but then 80% off and paying $16 for a pair of Tori Burch heels that are in good condition.Suits another hot item there they have lots of the penguin brand to kind of a brighter, navy blue. They’re gorgeous suits and they always have plenty of selection and sizes. You just have to kind of match up a suit jacket and a suit pants sometimes they’re in different sections rarely they’re together on a rack in the suit coat section. They do have changing rooms you can take in ten items at a time
MoreWOW! If you have anxiety and don't like scouring the racks for a deal DO NOT COME HERE! LOL Seriously, this store is bananas! Unhinged! Perfect for anyone seeking the best deal on designer duds one can find, but bad for those who are challenged by people and piles of clothing. The humanity in here will set you off if you need personal space, but the deals will keep you coming back. WARNING - If you find the perfect piece and it does NOT have a tag, they will NOT sell it to you. Either find a tag by your own creativity before you get to the counter or forget about it. If you are staying in the area for a few days, come everyday, the inventory changes. Perfect place to shop for black tie long dresses and shoes. Must be able to handle crowds and people crawling all over you to get to what they want! Dressing rooms were pleasant and oddly enough never crowded, dressing room attendant gets 5 stars!Good luck!
MoreLast Chance has great quality items, ridiculous low prices and is located in a strip mall in Phoenix, AZ. You may have to get a strap fixed in a purse or put a button on jeans when you leave, but if the purse is designer and $20 and the jeans at $15, the visit to the cleaners is worth it. On Saturday, there is usually a line outside, don't get discouraged. Bring a friend who loves deals and shop like crazy. If you like less folks, go in Wednesday at 11am
MorePhoenix is fortunate to have Last Chance. Why shop Ross, Marshall's, etc. when there's Last Chance? A quality garment that's marked down 25% at marshalls, is substantially less at Last Chance, usually much better quality. Last chance puts returns on the floor too, so be aware that some items need attention.....Last Chance has a designer showcase, open at various times. People wait in line for the designer showcase. Customers have 2 minutes to shop designer items. Designer items are in high demand, thus theft. Thus, designer showcase is how things are handled now instead of the free range of designer goods that customers once had the opportunity to obtain on the general floor. The store isn't the most organized...so if you have patience and a treasure hunt attitude, you never know... anything is possible. I was there the other day. A woman was shopping for a dress to wear on the red carpet at an awards show in Vegas. There was a beautiful MacDuggal dress in her size. I encouraged her to try it on. She looked so beautiful and radiant when she tried on the dress. She went to the very long line to show her mother the dress she found. Her mother immediately said SOLD! This lady was so excited she found this dress for a black tie affair. The dress, priced at 120$, retails for 700$. Definitely sweeeeet deals there to be had!The store becomes a mess.... don't blame that on the staff. They work very hard at cleaning the store after the thrift store shoppers throw everything everywhere in their shopping frenzy. I live locally and enjoy shopping at last chance at least once a month. Definitely on days when I have a couple hours to go 'on safari' and wait in line ...that is usually pretty long. Every now and then, a short line happens, usually in the morning. Have fun and savor the adventure :)
MoreWhile prices can be impressive, this store is so disorganized that it makes for a horrible experience. There were racks marked as 'Men's Pants' that were shirts. Everything is just thrown together. Smalls in with Larges, and XL. This with that. that with this. You have to be a master hunter and gatherer to find something that's nice and fits. And the staff is not friendly.
