We enjoyed the room 345 s/f with living room. Also, great service by staff. Very friendly. Very clean. Down the road from Carlsbad Village.Free breakfast, pool, gym and cookies every night from 8-9pm.The check in and out staff is what all hotels should have. They make you feel comfortable like they have known you for years.

Room was in extremely poor condition with stains on walls and strong mildew smell in bathroom. Poor sound proofing, could hear everything going on in the hallways. Unpleasant staff who refused to provide a receipt upon check out. Very negative experience overall.

We used to stay at West Inn and Suites almost every year and have invited friends to join us because the stay here was so pleasurable. The hotel is in close proximity to Legoland and provided shuttle services to and from Legoland for its guests. The hotel servied hearty breakfast with fresh cut fruits and servied cookies and milk which was the highlight for my kids. Imagine returning from a long day out and greeted with freshly baked cookies. This was our first return after Covid and unfortunately, everything changed. The room and the high price stayed the same but there is no more shuttle service this time to go to Legoland. The breakfast is descent but no more fresh fruits and breads. There's no more milk and cookies providedat night and needless to say, the kids were very disappointed. All the features that made this hotel stand out from the rest that made us want to stay here time after time are gone. Sad to say this will be the last time we will stay here.

My hubby and I stayed here, for a quick little one day getaway, for our anniversary. The hotel is pet friendly but I wanted to email them ahead of time to let them know that my disabled husband’s support dog will be with us. Great communication via email and great service from all of their staff. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas, plus they serve milk & cookies in the evenings! The free buffet style breakfast was amazing with so many food options. We booked the Premier Suite King bed + sofa bed. The room was very spacious, the bed was comfy, the pillows are to die for, and the entire room was very clean! The hotel sits about a block away from the beach. And there’s a gas station/convenience store next door as well as a cute little park across the street. The area is very peaceful, and we felt safe walking around day and night. You’re not far from Carlsbad Village, which is the city’s lovely downtown area, with quaint little shops, cafes, pubs, and restaurants. We loved staying here so much that we decided to stay another night. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

What a cute little gem near the beach in my own town. This is a home feeling and not a chain. The holiday decorations are so inviting. Dahlia at the front desk is very sweet and helped me get my heat fixed right away (or change rooms). Great hot tub. The cookies at 8-9 are amazing and what a simple gesture that just made me happy after coming in from dinner. Breakfast was great in the morning and included. I worked at a Couryard down the way once and this blows it away. Thank you for the lovely time!
