Awesome showcase of preserving history. Also, a great trailhead for some hiking and trail running.

We were hoping the house would be open to explore but everything was shut up and curtains down so you couldn’t see inside but we loved the historical site and all the trails. Wear pants because some are very overgrown.

Lookout Mountain is one of the most famous battle sites of the Civil War and offers incredible views from Point Park at the crest. But the real battle above the clouds was fought near Cravens House, which is down the hill and up a winding residential road. There's not a lot at this small site. The Cravens house was destroyed in the battle and rebuilt afterwards and remains on the site. There are several monuments and markers, but it's pretty confusing as the site lacks battle maps.

Awsome hike from the parking lot a little challenging but not too bad. Great cannons and beautiful monuments.

Home was closed so not a lot to see in regards to the home. The views were spectacular though and it was definitely worth the drive to check it out while in the area.
