We had read reviews that said you could drive up to the structure, but we weren't able to. Not sure if that was pandemic related or if we just didn't look in the right place. Anyway, we parked in the parking lot and were able to get a somewhat impaired view. It was still amazing, especially knowing the some of the history and the statistics on the size of the structure.

This facility is absolutely ginormous! You can't get in to look around but you can drive right up to it. Over 1100 feet long, 300 feet wide and over 200 feet high. One of the biggest buildings I've ever seen. If you are an aviation enthusiast, this is a must see facility if you are in Akron. No Goodyear blimps on site when we were there, unless they were inside.

The size is immense and facts about its' construction are extremely interesting. We see the blimps all the time but this is where they were 'born'.
