tripadvisorVery nice local lake, but only gave it 3 stars because I am frustrated with people who keep letting their dogs in the water and taking a dump that floats near people while they are swimming. Three times I go and that happens. Also it would be nice if people don't smoke near families and kids.
MoreAbsolutely beautiful lake to swim in. There is very little shade so come prepared for that. The water is so warm and lovely! Great place to relax.
MoreA nice place to go for FREE swimming (and free parking!!) at a “beach.” The beach part has small pebbles rather than sand — it makes clean up very simple. It’s not overly crowded during the day. About 4:00 is when more people begin to show up. Many people bring tents (there’s not much shade), floats, kayaks, etc. Some people jump off a dock that’s a little ways down. There are seaweed-type plants in the water, but there is plenty of space to swim without that. The water is shallow at the beginning for youngsters and definitely gets deeper as you swim out from the beach. Water clarity is not great, but it does depend on the day. Sunnier days meant it was more clear, cloudy days the water was choppy and less clear. But all of that didn’t stop me from an enjoyable swim. The large walking trail is not super shaded, but it follows the body of water pretty well the entire way. Overall, this is a WONDERFUL place to visit for a couple of hours or an entire day! Bring your own food, water, and shade and enjoy. I hope it stays this nice, free, and un-crowded in years to come.
MoreA very beautiful place! Great air and nature! The water in the lake is clean! Resting here is a pleasure!
MoreI absolutely love Lake Pflugerville, is such an excellent place to just walk around and enjoy the beautiful view of the lake, the birds, the ducks, and nature in general. It’s perfect to walk, run, jog, ride a bicycle or even go in the water and do some fishing, paddle board, canoe, or simply enjoy a swim. This park is super family friendly, you could also picnic here or have small events with friends and family. The parking lot has recently been remodeled and it has plenty of space for lots of cars.
