City did not vote to participate so no Metrorail and no buses...what a shame but the people got to decide...remains of bus stop next to police station and appeared to have been planned for a Metrorail stop but nope

I have taken the train several times from Lakeline Station to downtown Austin. I agree with Txshrink68, it works well. The problem. I live at the next stop, Leander Station. I could actually walk this station. But, the scheduled stops in Leander Station at night and on weekends are limited. Therefore, I have to drive to the Lakeline Station (about 30 min) and take it from there. Inquiring about the limited service, I am just told to look at the printed schedule. No one that I've talked to knows who is in charge of setting up the schedule, or how it can be changed or improved.

Metro Rail was my choice for commuting from Lakeline area to downtown Austin for over one year. Much less stressful and less expensive than driving. Senior pass made the rides even cheaper. Trains were SRO after the first few stops, and the wifi was slow. Mostly on time with only a few exceptions.
