Opened in August 2009 by local Mosaic artist and photographer Pauline Milles, the Glassy Alley is an art studio and gallery that focuses on providing space for upcoming local artists. With the help of local artists, the the gallery space is also used as a venue for workshops for children as well as adults, teaching them the nuances of art-forms like photography, mosaic art, paintings and sculpting. Spread across 3500 square feet (325 square meters), this venue is available for private events, meetings and art workshops. My office went to Glassyalley for our holiday get-together. We made ornaments or coasters and brought our own food in. It was so much fun. We had great assistance from Pauline and the time just flew by. Everyone had a custom ornament or coaster in the end. Since then I have been back for classes and am enjoying making glass mosaics.
