The beds were hard, the bed sheets was nasty and fade. Because it was a suite and Inn it came with fridge, small stove but no pots or pans to cook with, there was no kleenex, no paper towels. We had only one wash towel and no toilet paper. The guest upstairs stomped on the floor all night. The sign out stated the rooms were $51.29 per night but we paid $81.00 for double but we only slept in one. Hotel Inn and suite was very disappointing, we will never again visit another Woodspring Inn and Suite. Give it 1 star only because the TV worked and the shower was great.

I stayed at WoodSpring Suites Lafayette on January 5, 2026, with my parents and my dog. Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience and not what we expected at all. When we arrived, there was only one employee at the front desk, which I understand. However, despite having a full lobby of guests waiting to check in, the employee chose to stay on a phone call instead of assisting the people who were clearly waiting. This immediately set a negative tone for the stay. While waiting, I informed the employee that I had a reservation and politely asked if I could use the restroom on the ground floor due to an emergency. I was told that they “do not have bathrooms for guests,” which was both surprising and unacceptable for a hotel. The employee’s attitude throughout the interaction was highly unprofessional. We explained that our stay was already paid for and that we had chosen this hotel specifically because it is advertised as pet-friendly. At that point, we were informed of an additional $50 pet deposit plus $5 for the stay, with the assurance that the deposit would be refunded at checkout. I agreed to this.To this day, the pet deposit has not been refunded. I contacted the hotel chain directly, and their response was that they are not responsible for the charges because each property is independently owned. Essentially, no one took responsibility for resolving the issue. This is exactly why I do not recommend this type of hotel. They advertise themselves as pet-friendly, but then add extra charges after the reservation and fail to return deposits as promised. In my opinion, this is misleading at best.It is unfortunate, because the hotel infrastructure looks like it may have been decent in the past. However, due to poor maintenance, the elevator feels like something out of a horror movie. Even though we booked a non-smoking room, there were cigarette burn marks everywhere. I counted more than 30 burn marks in the bathroom and throughout the room. The furniture is old and worn out. Honestly, the only scenario where this hotel might make sense is for someone who cannot afford monthly housing and needs a long-term stay, since the room includes a decent refrigerator and a kitchen. But for travelers staying one or two nights, I strongly recommend avoiding this place. This stay was a complete disappointment, and I would not return. There are far better and more honest options available.

If you are just wanting a bed.. this is a fine hotel. No coffee on the property at all.I have never been to a hotel where you have to walk a few blocks to the gas station to get coffee. Also while they do have stove, fridge .. there is NO pots or dishes or anything. Not even glass for water. The room is extremely basic and well this is our first time in Lafayette .. we would suggest to pick a different hotel

My husband had training in Lafayette and his company booked the room. Our stay was terrible. Very seedy feeling when we checked in. The window was not locked and the screen had been torn from what appeared to be pried loose. We had noise in the hallway all night and the beds were not comfortable, so we got no sleep. There was no shower curtain, so taking a shower got the entire bathroom wet! There were no toiletry items of any type (shampoo, lotion), no cups and no coffee pot. There was no hair dryer, and no one travels with a hair dryer anymore! The only semi-positive thing I can say about this place is that the room appeared clean. Needless to say, we did not stay here the 2nd night!

HORRIBLE!! Booked this room as a last minute stay. (May20,2023) We checked in...went to the store and got some food and drinks and then came back to the room. The elevator was HOT AND MUSTY...thought nothing of it...then the hallway was hot and stuffy and it smelled. The room was supposed to be non smoking but it had a stench to it and did not seem clean which sent my anxiety through the roof. I had a panic attack so I went downstairs and requested a refund. The clerk stated she could not give a refund and that I had to speak with the manager Summer the next day. WE were NOT EVEN THERE A WHOLE HOUR AND she wouldn't/couldn't refund us. So I called the next morning at 8am like she said, and the phone keeps saying it's going to transfer me, but it just hangs up. It won't even ring the desk to speak to anyone. VERY DISAPPOINTED. WE ended up leaving and staying in the Hampton Inn. Very nice people, room was nice, cozy and clean. No smellsI DO NOT RECOMMEND this place..
