Superior National Forest is spread over an area of more than 445,000 acres. Superior National Forest is a part of the US Forest Service, which is an agency of the Department of Agriculture. The US Forest Service manages public land in more than 150 national forests and over 15 grasslands that encompass an area of nearly 190 million acres.
