The festival has been held for two days in June for several years. When we came to Denver it was the second day and the receptionist in the hostel where we stayed told us about it. It was amazing! Several streets in Denver's Golden Triangle Neighbourhood were full with artists - from kids to professional street artists who painted their pictures on the road. Everybody has a small sketch next to the painting so you can see and compare small picture to that made with chalk. There was a jury vote and a public vote for their favourite. There were several refreshment kiosks, restaurants in the area were opened, you could win $5K , simply you could spend there the whole day. Wonderful event, I wish something like this would happen where I live. It's a must visit when you are in the city at the time when it is held.
