You have to be a member (or guest of one) to use these facilities but you don’t have to be one to visit their small art gallery (indoors) and the sculpture garden (outdoors). You may have to wait for someone to let you in since only card holders can open the doors. Once in, just check with the front desk and they will let you know where you can go to see the works of art.Huge space with tennis, pickleball, swimming, fitness (Taichi, TRX, cycling), language classes (Spanish, Hebrew), conference rooms, auditorium, and so much more. You can purchase some of the artwork shown at the indoor gallery. The outdoor sculptures are not for sale however, they are part of a permanent display. When I visited, a few sculptures were missing and I’m not sure if they were lent out to other galleries/museums or if they were being repaired. Once you are done visiting the sculpture garden, you push a red button by a glass door and they will let you back in to the building. Security is a high point at this place. Armed guards at the entrance and locked doors (only accessible swiping id cards) on all sides. Google GPS didn’t send me to the correct location when guiding me here. It had me go the back parking area where they receive shipments. It took me a while to find the actual entrance to this place. Amazingly well taken care of place with lots of clients (10,000+/year). Great place to exercise, learn, appreciate art. They take any denomination; you don’t have to be Jewish to enjoy this place.

I've been to art events at the JCC (I live in Tucson) but I'd never seen the sculpture garden. What a great surprise! It's large, has a big variety of sculpture from abstract to realistic, and some shady spots too. I spent the better part of an hour here, though you can probably walk through in ten minutes if you don't stop. (Don't miss the outside door at one end of the building that leads to a small area with a few more sculptures.)In the summer, it'll be hot out there! It's open the same hours as the main building, though, so you can probably find a cool time to see it. There's at least one bench (which, it turns out, is also a sculpture!).The JCC is easy to reach from a lot of Tucson via River Road and Alvernon Way (the part south of the Rillito River). Also nearby is the Sculpture Tucson garden at Brandi Fenton Park.
