tripadvisorWayne the pilot has such an understated and modest manner to put anyone at ease. We flew at 9000 feet through the Cascades so you could almost reach out and touch the snow capped peaks. This pilot has decades of experience as a bush pilot in Alaska. Need I say more? We are so looking forward to flying with Snowking again. Lifetime experience!! I've spent more and gotten way less of an adventure. Wayne is the Snowking.
MoreAbsolutely mind blowing experience. Wayne was the perfect tour guide showing us all the glaciers and peaks. Knowing which tour we were able to do due to high winds ands having very clear communication with the group. Fantastic views! Definitely once in a lifetime experience. Thanks Wayne for being a great host and pilot !!
MoreA beautiful flight of the North Cascades! The expert pilot Wayne had us in the air in no time with just breathtaking views of Baker Lake, Mount Shuksan, Mount Baker, The Picketts and a variety of other peaks, so many i can’t remember them all. Words cannot describe the beauty we have. If you ever get a chance.. take the flight you’ll be amazed.
MoreNow we understand why it’s called ,” the cascades “. The beautiful waterfalls cascading from the most incredible colored lakes! The breathtaking close up views of the fantastic north cascades mountains- such a sight! I hope it remains in my memory indefinitely.
MoreI couldn't stay away. A week of new snow dumping in the North Cascades set up another trip above this spectacle of nature's beauty in the Northwest. Wayne arranged a tour for me a bit later in the day for better light and the possibility of beautiful alpenglow. We got all that and more. Just relentless gorgeous snowscapes, towering peaks, faroff Mount Rainier and Glacier Peak. All bathed in soft golden light which turned pink as we headed back home. I loved this second view of the North Cascades with fresh snow. I had two cameras with me: Sony a7r2 and Canon 70-200 lensFuji GFX100s and GF45-100 medium formatAdvice: Keep your shutter speed above 1/500 using ISO. In-camera stabilization helps. Set auto focus to Continuous. Keep lenses close to the window but not in contact. Any tiny glare artifacts in images can be fixed with Content Aware Fill in photoshop.I got over 70% keepers using these strategies.Feel free to contact me for prints, or even better, book a tour and go get your own!
