tripadvisorMy self and my son booked a hotel room at Woodsprings to arrive on April 29th, 2026 and staying until Sunday May 3rd, 2026. Upon arrival at the facility around 9:30pm on April 29th, the staff member on duty was amazing. He was prompt, effective and did a great job. However, once checked into our room, we entered the room with our key. We found the floor to be very slippery and the room to have a funny/funky smell. However, we knew we were getting a cheaper hotel and didn't expect it to be brand new. After about 30 minutes, I went to use the restroom and that's when I began to see that the room wasn't cleaned recently, and likely not cleaned well for a long time. I found a toenail in the corner of the bathroom with a ton of dirt and dust around it. I went down to notify the Front Desk staff member who apologized and I asked for the room to be properly cleaned the next day. He stated he would leave a note for the manager. After returning to the room and trying to sleep for the night, my son found a cockroach exiting the wardrobe closet and onto the floor. He tried to kill it with a shoe, but it ran back into the wardrobe. We then packed up and left immediately. We notified the staff member on duty. The next morning we contacted the GM who stated she would process the refund. She never called back, but when I called the next day she stated that she got everything approved and processed. 3 weeks went by with no refund. I contacted Expedia, who we booked through, and they attempted to contact the location multiple times. However, tonight, we received a denied notice stating that the property is now denying the refund they approved 3 weeks ago. I tried contacting the property on 5-18-26 and the female who answered the phone was rude, condensing and refused to help. She refused to contact her manager considering this has been going on for 3 weeks. She also refused to look up the booking and do anything but hang up on me multiple times.
MoreHorrible experience. Elevator was inoperable throughout our entire stay. We were in the middle of a state to state move and had to haul all of our stuff up the stairs. Also, the AC unit was stuck on 60 making the room icy cold. We were told to just unplug it until the room warmed up and reset it. There was not a definitive plan to fix either AC or elevator. When I did unplug it, it wouldn’t come back on. Called them again. Said they would put a work order in…never heard back. The front staff were nice and polite however … the place is just inefficiently managed.
MoreHorrible stay. Avoid this hotel if possible. Watch your car at all times. General manager does not care. The staff is very rude and racist. On several occasions the general manager thought it was funny that I was treated horribly.
MoreAm a travel Registered Nurse and stayed in room 227, WoodSpring Suites Signature Houston IAH Airport in Humble for 3 months and a few days. Overall, it was a great experience during my stay. Pros: Great staff, from the front office to housekeeping. DeAndre Harvey, Jessica Godoy, Emmanuel, Matthew and Chris all stood out. Very professional and courteous. Chris went above and beyond by accommodating my request to clean my room early so I can catch some sleep, since I work at night & sleep during the day. She's very proud of what she does, always has a smile on her face, while greeting every guest she encounters. Such a great asset to the company. The gym, which I made use of quite often was very clean, with functional equipment and sanitizing wipes always in place. Cons: There was miscommunication between staff regarding my payment. I had to be woken up on two instances close to 11 a.m. to either renew my payment or check out, whereas I had renewed the day prior each time. On the first occasion, the lady staff had to come to my room twice, demanding to see my receipt, which I obliged her before she apologized, stating that she did not get any report of my payment from the staff who handed over to her. I understand that there may be slip off in communication but happening twice was much embarrassing to be honest. I thought it's one of those reports oncoming staff would easily pull out of or verify from the computer, rather than relying on verbal communication by outgoing staff. If that's not the case, then one will suggest upgrading the computer, with staff education in the regard.
MoreI don't recommend going here at all unless strapped for cash. Staying here led to dealing with problems like poor housekeeping services, lack of basic items, and a non-working elevator that was left out of order for 2 weeks and still not fixed.
