tripadvisorI attended a presentation by Harun Mehmedinovic about the Sky Glow project. A must see should you get the opportunity. While waiting for the presentation, I had time to tour several of the displays. Marvelous displays. Be warned, this place is hard to find! The building is off North Valley Road behind the Pioneer Museum.
MoreThe Coconino Center for the Arts has one of the best rotations of local artists you will find in any medium size town in America. In addition to the art displays, Coconino Center for the Arts has some of the best concerts you will find. Not just local artists but well known touring single and small ensemble groups as well. It deserves your patronage and financial support.
MoreSmall but nice community center for art exhibits and special events like the annual Folk Music Festival. A good venue for the citizens of Flagstaff and visitors alike.
MoreWe saw a free concert by the North Arizona Symphony here. Great concert and some interesting art work in the galleries. My only issue was that the steps in the concert hall are dangerous. No hand rails and steps are configured in a strange way. Maybe they could figure a way to remedy that.
MoreWe went to hear a performance by a woman quilter/poet from Canada. She was delightful, if you can imagine a woman singing songs, playing a guitar and showing quilts. They have various performers from time to time. Then there is a gallery where, at that time, people were displaying their quilt art. (Quilting is not just for beds, but can be wall hangings and art, too.)
