Cashier (heavyset blonde) was rude. Hawked me down the entire time (was wearing heavy field jacket) and glared at me. Said not 1 word. 20+ signs in the store prohibiting photos.

My wife had been here before and I heard about it on a regular basis whenever Arizona was brought up. I was determined that we would go here for her if nothing else. I'm not very well versed in geology or gems but, even I had a great time here. Dennis and Peggy are the owners of the store and the really do have quality things here! They both are very kind and very helpful. My wife and I gladly left them with a little less stock and we were happy to do it going home with great stuff. Peggy knows alot about the history of Jerome too and we had a great talk with her. This place is a nice stop for something different and definitely not just your usual tourist store. If you have ANY appreciation of geology or antiques GO HERE!!!

I've recently started wire weaving so went into this shop. The guy at the counter was very knowledgeable and had cabs he had made himself. They were so awesome and interesting. I bought a copper slag cab piece he made himself and picked out some nice petrified wood to make into a necklace. Wish he was available online. The copper slag was beautiful. I enjoyed talking about rocks with him. Very smart man. No screaming lady there like in other reviews.

Arizona Discoveries on Main Street is a shopping boutique store with the usual souvenir items and Arizona treasures.

I just read these reviews and found them so funny, ppl can be so touchy, especially those poor liberals. lol I'm from NY and was NOT offended by anything. Also i dont think the owner was in the day I went... a weird albeit nice guy (town-y?) was working and he told me my purchases were spelled by a witch! (a good witch) anyway, thought it was cool and added to the effect of this crystal new aged state. All their stuff was priced way lower than the other ritzy places in town.. Dont be afraid to go in there because of a screaming looney owner, haha. I actually stumbled upon these reviews when looking to see if they had an online store, as i wanted to purchase some more stuff. its a really mixed batch of stuff, but all and all a cool store
