tripadvisorCarol was happy, patient & kind with us, educating us on pottery, kachinas, fetishes, and jewelry. We brought pictures of a collection we had questions about and she was more than willing to help which I didn’t expect such a nice response. Very trustworthy and honest place to get quality pieces that you can pass down through the generations. She will write down for you details about what your buying including a picture. Well worth the drive!!!
MoreI wanted to buy my daughter some Native American jewelry on my visit to Sedona, and decided to stop at Hoel’s based on online reviews. It’s outside of town, down a narrow driveway, inside a house, so on driving up, I was a little skeptical, but when I was greeted at the door by owner Carol and walked into the shop, I was surrounded by attractive, high-quality merchandise. It was pretty overwhelming, but when I told Carol my daughter likes small stud earrings and I wanted something turquoise, she pulled out several trays of earrings, and I was faced with difficult choices. Although the larger and more elaborate pieces of jewelry were expensive, the stud and small dangle earrings were very reasonably priced, so much so that I bought 2 pairs of studs for my daughter and a pair of the small dangles for myself. Carol then decided the backs on one of the pairs wasn’t good enough and changed them for me, and put each pair into its own little box. She was also able to provide me with information on one of the artisans. What a great experience!
MoreHave bought many things over the years Pottery jewelry, kachinas. Each as described on the website and well exemplified in the photos. Delivery prompt, real art, not chachkas. Can not do better than Hoel's.
MoreThe shop is small; however, the displays and the number of pieces are amazing. There are exquisite necklaces, bracelets, rings, belts and other jewelry, mostly silver and turquoise. The pieces are very high quality items, many are older examples of old Indian pawn. Some items are quite expensive, but nothing appears overpriced. There are also numerous items that can be considered affordable souvenirs. It is worth the visit just to see the collections. Baskets, Kachinas and other items compliment the jewelry.
MoreThis sweet store has a dazzling array of Native American items. The jewelry is simply stunning! I was in search of Zuni fetishes and was thrilled with the selection. Can’t wait to go back to spend more time!! The owners were kind, knowledgeable and helpful.
