The atmosphere is always welcoming & fun, this place is always a favorite. However our most recent visit wasn't as enjoyable. First time participating in the ceramic painting and we were given very little instructions, except where to sit. We asked numerous times to not only the same person but to other employees as well for any tips & tricks as it was our first time with the ceramic. Long story short we ended up having to paint a new ceramic piece which extended our stay. I believe Audrey was the individual who helped us the most & was extremely attentive to not only us but other's as well. She was awesome. The rest of the employees (the ones behind the bar/counter) could use some more customer service & communication training.

I always recommend Kelly Jo's for a date night or group event. Now it's not just painting. There is a ceramics painting or other art projects. The place also has a couple of local brews on hand as well as the wine. Bring snack if you like. Pick your project and have fun. Anyone can do this even if you don't think you can even draw a stick figure. Staff is very very helpful.

We have visited Kelly Jo's six different times and always have a blast. The atmosphere is fun and the instructors are awesome. Paint..have a glass of wine or a local beer and enjoy. Take snack if you like, but take a look and have fun painting.

I have to say, when my husband surprised me with this for our anniversary, I was a bit underwhelmed. We both did not have good experiences in art classes during our school years. That being said, I tried to have a positive attitude. I have to say, the staff at Kelly Jo's made me feel at home and comfortable from the get go. They were all friendly and so encouraging. Our instructor was fun, light-hearted and very positive. There is wine available by the glass or bottle along with a selection of beers. You can bring your own snacks. To choose which picture you want to paint, you go on line and see which painting will be done on which day and time.
