My wife and I went to the arts and craft fair and found many unique items. Very well attended and many vendors. Also had music and drinks area to relax. We enjoyed it so much we went back the next day to see the vendors we missed the 1st day.

I love going to the Rio Grande Arts & Crafts Festival. It is held 2-3 times a year in Albuquerque, including during the Balloon Fiesta. You can view & purchase local, regional & national art, with an emphasis on local artists. They have jewelry, pottery, paintings, metal work, mixed media, sculpture, photography & more. There is also food, music, face painting, crafts for kids & prizes. I purchased a beautiful mosaic wood cutting board from Karve-Ware & a sculpted metal wall hanging from Copper Phoenix. Sandia Resort & Casino is a beautiful venue, with plenty of parking - very well organized. Enjoy!

Great improvements could be made on the facilities that has the Rio Grande Arts and Crafts Festival the festival itself has many talented artists from all over the country and excellent art but the facility has an open door policy with Matt's covering gravel and on the back entrance you must go through a gravel parking lot up a hill to gain entrance it seems with a $10 entry fee they could make improvements in this area. I was told up to $2,000 is paid for the people there to cover two weekends as vendors. Why can't they afford to improve the grounds and facility.

This is an outstanding collection of artisans and their work. Interesting foods, unique gifts, things for your home that u won’t find anywhere else. If ur in town for Balloon Fiesta, spend the middle part of the day, between morning ascension and evening “glow.” Grab ur craftiest friend and make it a date. Love it.❤️

The Rio Grande Arts and Crafts Festival is typically held twice a year in October (during Balloon Fiesta at Sandia Casino) and in March (at Expo NM). This is by far my favorite art festival. They usually have around 200 artists at the Festival. These are experienced, professional, top-notch artists from all over the US. The art is priced so that nearly everyone can afford something. All forms of art are for sale - photography, acyrilic, oil paints, sculpture, jewelry, pottery, clothing, woodwork, carvings, metal, leather, and more. The entry fee is $10, and parking is free. They have music and food on site. I can't recommend this event enough.
