Originally conceived in the late 1970s, the AT&T Performing Arts Center finalizes the city of Dallas's goal to create a an expansive Arts District. Now the centerpiece of the area, the AT&T Performing Arts Center boasts five different venues within its walls: Winspear Opera House, Wyly Theatre, Strauss Artist Square, City Performance Hall and Sammons Park. Amongst these venues, you can catch an opera, a Broadway musical, an outdoor concert, a small-scale play or just take a walk in the ten-acre park.

Reviews
tripadvisorThird time here and even in dress circle first row I was very disappointed by my seat. Definitely my least favorite venue. Maybe orchestra first 3 rows have good seats but will not be back unless I can be there.
MoreI went to the Prom show on 7/31. Just perfect. But I also booked the pre show dinner on the mezzanine. Compared to our first dinner there 2 month ago , it was really disappointing. They changed the catering company . Only one appetizer, the vegetables were too salty, the chicken and salmon were OK at best. The dessert was good though. Not worth the money. They don't sell the wine by the bottle but by the (plastic) glass. We took the regular red and it was simply undrinkable, So never again, there are other options in walking distance anyway.
MoreI have been the the Windspear numerous times and each time I like it more and more. I've seen concerts, musicals, and plays here and each one is exceptional. The most recent was Beautiful - the Carol King story. The acoustics are exceptional and the seating is fabulous. It is a absolutely the best venue in the Dallas area. My only warning is that I'd recommend not sitting in the first row of any of the upper level seats (mezzanine or higher). I am terrified of heights and the glass railing seems too low for my comfort as I'm terrified of falling over. If I'm at least one row back from the glass railing, then it is all very good.
MoreWe attended Beautiful last night. It was outstanding. We bought our tickets by a phone call to the ticket office and included parking. This made the whole event pretty painless. The musical was absolutely wonderful, and the of getting in and getting out was simple.
MoreI have attended two musicals at this building. If you attend an event here, prepay for parking in the Lexus garages..saves time and it's really convienent. Of course there is plenty of ground level parking a couple blocks away. The staff was very friendly and very helpful, if you look a little lost, somebody will pick up on it and guide you. The seating was very comfortable and the sight lines were very nice, unless you are directly to the side. Get there early and marvel at the LED chandelier, get your pics because it will disappear for showtime. There is a bar that sells drinks and snacks, kinda pricey, but you do get a cool little covered cup to take home. This building is surrounded by the Meyerson Symphony, the Wyly Theatre, and very close to Klyde Warren Park.
