This is a small, community theater which places the actors right next to the audience...creating an intimate experience where the audience is part of the action. I believe it will seat 90 people. I recently enjoyed Food For Love, a play by Sam Shepherd. The actors were terrific!! (Play would be rated R in my opinion for adult themes and situations). Everyone at the play was wonderful, and I would highly recommend going to the theater again!!! Tips for a more successful night: Get there by 7 or even earlier as seating is first come first serve. (Even if you buy your ticket ahead of time). The play we were seeing was not appropriate for children, so make sure you look up the details on the play you are seeing. If you are wanting to take your children, call ahead and ask if the play is appropriate for the children you are taking and their age ranges. There are snack concessions available for sale when the doors open. (Bottled water and snacks) Our play was about an hour long. Some may be longer with an intermission. The seating is limited. Some plays will be suitable for all ages and others not, it really depends on the play. Phone number to call ahead and ask questions (direct from website. I am not affiliated with Adobe Theater or the cast) (505) 898-9222 and email: [email protected]

I am an immigrant from New York City, and seriously spoiled by it's artistic abundance. I went to see this play, unknown to me, The Book of Will. I was blown away!!! The theater is small, comfortable, and has great sound, you don't miss a word from the actors. The selection of actors and customs reflected the time period, excellently done. Ohhh, the professionalism and talent of the cast leaves you quite impressed. I was touched by John Heminges during his display of emotional pain, almost to the point of tears, but couldn't stop laughing at the sutil and open jokes. The staff, including directors and crew, was friendly and accommodating, and all with smiling faces! The snacks are inexpensive but needs to have a little more variety. So, If you Want or Need to take time off from your daily routines, break away from your troubles, Go and See this Play!. You will enjoy it.

The show we watched was great! The only problem is with the seating. There are no reserved seats, so it is first come first served. On the day we arrived, another ticket holder got there early and held seats for several people on the front two rows. This was frustrating to us. I would prefer seats to be assigned ahead of time. Other than this, the actors were very professional and we could hear them well. It is a small theater and quite comfortable. They have snacks available during intermissions.

What a great place to see a play. Very intimate setting. Everyone is so friendly. From the staff, to the crew, and to the entire cast and director, they were so pleasant. The new bathrooms are beautiful. I would certainly recommend seeing a play at the Adobe!
