Ski Santa Fe Skiing ·$$$

Sitting above Santa Fe at 12,000 feet, this 600-acre ski basin has 43 well-groomed trails and five lifts. With an average snowfall of 225 inches and snowmaking capabilities, there are very few bad seasons at this popular destination. Activities include skiing, snowboarding and telemarking. All-day passes for adults, teens, children and seniors range in price. If this is your first time out, you can get lessons and a lift pass combination. If you have little ones under the age of four, do not hesitate to bring them along; daycare facilities are available for a fee.

We had a half day ski lesson with John MacQuigg and he was an extremely knowledgeable and patient instructor. I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting lessons to ask for him.

the main thing is this resort doesn't care about your experience. like, at all. have to wait? it's fine. wanna get a few runs in? it's not their problem. they have 3 main lifts for actual skiers, and a few more for beginners and learners - and do they open all of them for the first real powder day of the season? no. they receive 10 inches over 2 days - do they open all three lifts? no. not for the whole weekend. the third lift isn't open til the following weekend.they do an upgrade to a high speed chair. do they add chairs? no. do they keep stopping the lift while it's in operation? yes. go to a mountain like vail, and the chair never stops, like, all day. all those people - many of them beginners, and it just goes and goes. it's crowded at the bottom and at the top - the mountain is packing people onto 6-person chairs - and the lift never stops. and the line is minimal. santa fe can't get their stuff together to have anything like that, and after awhile, it's obvious that they just don't want to. they could do it and they don't. each upgrade they do is minimal. it's not enough, and yet, here comes the ticket price increase. and another increase, and another increase. and no increase in service, in speed, or in customer care.Go to Pajarito. Go to Sipapu. Go to Red River. Go to Angel Fire. If you don't live in Santa Fe, there's no reason to ski in Santa Fe,

For years, I kept having problem with the skis not actually parallel during turns on steep slopes. I thought it was due to the way I stand and was very frustrated trying to correct by researching online, trying different drills but didn't improve. I decided to take a lesson on 12/23/25. I wasn't sure if I could fix it but the ski instructor, Mr. Kurt Sullivan, pinpointed what I did wrong and helped to correct it. He is so awesome and took time to fix my boots, walked me through different drills, and showed me the tips on how to correct, improve my ski technique. I am very, very happy. It was one of the best decisions made. I am very grateful for his helps and highly recommend him. He is the best. Thank you.

My husband is a boarder..we decided to take my kids snow skiing for Christmas. Brought their cousins..all 5 kids and one adult because she skii when she was 12. End of day..my kids said they didn’t want to come back because the skii instructor was rude. Every time my little ones express to her that he doesn’t know how to stop or turn..she would condescending tell him “you know how to turn”. She ignored them the whole time and they ask if they can get on the lifts..she told them that they didn’t have time. I have it on videos with when he told her that please help me..I can’t stop and I can’t turn..she just turn around and went off. I think they would have had a better time if they were taught by their dad and uncle. I wouldn’t waste my money in this place.
