Lovely gallery showing artists who are included in the New Mexico Museum of Art. Work is displayed nicely with good lighting. On display also are prints by Benton and Baumann. The gallery is convenient walking in the downtown area, on Marcey Street, a few blocks off the plaza.

This is an excellent gallery for those that are interested in SW fine art. It is small but has a variety of well known artists from Taos and Santa Fe. The staff is knowledgeable and willing to provide information that is informative and educational. Prices of the art they exhibit is very comparable to other galleries in town that carry the high end quality of art often sought by collectors. They have a sister gallery (larger with similar art) on Marcy street just one block north. Both locations are well worth a visit for those interested in SW fine art.

Nat Owings has been a fixture in Santa Fe for over thirty years and has built one of the most impressive collections of early twentieth century art in the country. His knowledge of, not only western artist and art, but the entire range of contemporary art and personalities from that era, make the Owings-Dewey Gallery a must see in Santa Fe. The space is beautifully lit, creating a wonderful atmosphere to view art and the collection of first rate artifacts. For anyone interested in the range and depth of art in New Mexico, there is no better place in the west to be informed than this institution.
