I did it in 1999 and then my career has started, but it works only if you are talented. Don't believe to became a great photographer only by a master.

I have sent in a filled-in request, emailed, called for over two months. Not one response. No one answers the listed phone number. I would not be so hard on them if I did not need the training but what a piss-poor business model to have, not even responding to would-be customers.

Santa Fe Photography Workshops hosts some great learning events for photographers. I participated in Creativity & Travel Photography led by Nevada Wier and it was outstanding. The SFPW venue on the outskirts of Santa Fe is also very good, with great buffet lunches. But the food and venue are secondary to the excellent instruction.

My husband and I attended two different class offerings. The classes were of high quality, taught by practicing photographer/artists who generously shared their knowledge and in classrooms with appropriate audio/video equipment, tables, chairs, etc. Nothing was air-conditioned (ceiling fans only) but it was not needed while we were there. Santa Fe can be quite lovely weather-wise in July. We also stayed in on-campus housing, which was somewhat old, very clean with large rooms, and also not air conditioned. Breakfast and lunch were provided, and were for the most part gluten-free, vegetarian or vegan. You won't go hungry!

The instructor was knowledgeable but limited in instructional methods. This was my second course the first lightroom was excellent. The second was bad as the instructor taught to 3 or 4 students who had a previous knowledge of the program. If you are a novice in the area this is not for you. I wrote to the school twice and NEVER received any feedback from them. Seems more interested in receiving your money than providing instruction for everyone taking the course.
