There is a lot to see at this popular gallery. The Gerald Peters Gallery has been providing 19th- and 20th-century art to collectors from around the world since the 1970s. With 8,500 square feet of indoor exhibition space, there is plenty to discover. The classic western art displayed here will give you a look at the west as it was over 100 years ago. With his intense attention to even the smallest details, the bronze sculptures by Frederick Remington are always fascinating. You will also enjoy the paintings created by American impressionists and modernists.

tripadvisorfantastic collection in a beautiful building. Don't forget to go to the contemporary museum that is adjacent
MoreThe Peters Gallery is one of the best galleries in Santa Fe. We've been going to Santa Fe for many years and sometimes start here. We like them all with one exception. We won't mention his name but he is a very rude New Yorker who has ripped people off for years. Most dealers know who he is. He ripped us off years ago but I don't need to mention him here. Canyon Road is the place to see and shop for everyone.
MoreThis makes for a nice walk through. The gallery is in an historic house and has a pleasant wood smell throughout. It has a unique feather art collection. It is right before Nedra Matteucci which is highly recommended as well as its sister gallery Morning Star on Canyon Road.
MoreNice, roomy gallery areas are good for Museum Quality Display. Staff was not very friendly. There were no small/less expensive works to purchase here. If you are not a high roller collector you will not find much except for a look at the art. Next door, the Matteuchi Gallery has similar quality art, wonderful display rooms but a friendlier, helpful staff and a selection of jewelry and other things within a reasonable budget. Their hidden outdoor pond garden is also special. Its worth a short walk next door. Combine visiting the two galleries if you can.
MoreMy wife and I have bought four paintings here in the past. We stopped here to replace another inherited one but had nothing in mind. They have great directors to work with you. We had gone to most galleries on canyon road, Taos and downtown Santa Fe. This is a large two building complex, impressive in its own right, but a must see for both naturalism and contemporary art. Do not be put off, go!Did we find something? Sadly no, but there is more time.
