We stayed at the Baymont near the Midland Airport every time we fly in and out of the airport and since we live 2 1/2 hours away it is necessary to have hotels on each end of our trip. Normally, the room rate is very economical and we enjoy the hotel, its friendly staff and it’s amenities. This time we tried to reserve a room for Monday evening and were told the rate was about $56 more than what we paid previously. Needless to say, we found another Wyndham hotel a bit closer to Midland for a much lower price so we booked that one. The Baymont is older and not modernized but it has always felt like home since we have stayed there so often but I doubt we will stay there again if their prices stay so high.

The exterior grounds were a mess with garbage, the room had a terrible smell, the TV remote was not working and the front desk said there was nothing they could do, the sitting chair was torn. The AC unit was stuck on 65 and unable to set.

It was a cold night when I wound up here overshooting the original destination (Odessa)It took three tries to get at the entrance to the property due to construction. On top of that, there were renovations going on when I stayed there. With that said, the desk clerk at check in was very gracious and check in was a breeze.The room itself was freshly renovated and was flawless. It was also quiet and I got a good night's sleep.Breakfast was included in the stay and was not at all bad.Overall the staff was flawless, and I got a good value for what I paid.Would I stay here again? Yes.

Breakfast is scrambled eggs and breakfast sausage everyday- and are wet. Rooms smell moist and I don't know why. The hotel is very clean and staff are very nice.Careful of potholes as you draw near the hotel- there is construction around the area and has damaged the entry roads to the hotel

I usually don't write reviews, but here I go. I have stayed at this hotel multiple times over this past year. I keep choosing it because it is the best value you can get in Midland. The area is nice. The rooms are always clean. They have a fitness room with actually equipment (treadmill, elliptical). They even have a washer and dryer, which cost money, but they gave me the washing pods to use for free, so I wouldn't have to purchase any from the store. The breakfast is pretty good with eggs and sausage. A big pet peeve for me is hotels having inoperable ice machines. I never have that issue at Baymont. Lastly, the employees are hospitable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is traveling through the Permian Basin.
