As you enter the Dauphine, you feel as though you have stepped back into the romantic New Orleans of the eighteenth century. The rooms in the Dauphine are stylish and comfortable with views that look out over the lush courtyard and pool. This hotel is ideal for those looking for a luxury experience in a traditional New Orleans setting.

tripadvisorI was told I'd be charged a $55/day incidental charge for potential parking that would be refunded. It totaled $110 on my card. However, they have not refunded my incidental charge. I didn't drive. I didn't park a car in the garage. I arrived to NOLA by Greyhound bus and used Lyft services to get from destination to destination. I was promised a call hours ago from management to discuss this charge and still no answer... Their answering service can't connect you with someone at the property.
MoreLocation was perfect, great atmosphere and customer support amidst some bumps along the way with WiFi service.
Moreclean room great staff alotnof hospitality !
MoreThis building is in rough shape. The HDMI inputs on the TV weren't working and the remote barely got a response from the TV. The bathroom sink was comically low to the ground, as if for a child (and I'm '54.) There was a water leak in the closet which dripped into the carpet the entire stay. Our keys suddenly stopped working in the middle of our stay and we had to get them fixed. The smoke detector went off for no reason and they removed it from our room. The pool water was dark and murky and stayed that way the entire four days I was there, despite staff telling me they'd just had it cleaned and it takes time to clear the water. The electrical outlets were barely hanging onto the wall. We had to be careful when pulling out a plug. The building is just shabby and in bad condition. This hotel should be much cheaper. The only reason I gave it two stars instead of one is because the staff was very friendly and helpful. Also, the location is great.
MoreThis hotel has a great location, but is in serious need of better maintenance by the ownership. The staff was overall friendly and knowledgeable. But, on arrival check-in was slow due to confusion about 3rd-party reservations (i.e., through hotels.com). The front desk person couldn't figure out where our reservation was in their system and eventually shoved us in a room that I think was supposed to be closed. We had several interruptions after that as no one seemed alerted that the rooms were occupied. In addition to that, there were several visible upkeep issues including highly unmaintained / moldy-looking carpets, a pool that was green and closed for the duration of our stay, and plumbing issues that led to plaster falling into our shower.I like the location, I like the vibe, I like the people working here. But the ownership needs to budget more on maintenance and upkeep of this hotel or it is going to completely fall apart soon.
