I have to say I was so pleasant surprised to first, be selected as one of the artists to be selected for the show, secondly I was extremely impressed with the presentation of the art. the reception. and the way the gallery is marketed.

I have visited Point of Contact several times and am always intrigued and impressed with the exhibitions. The shows rotate often enough that there's always something new to see from a variety of contemporary artists - from emerging and well-known - and the focus on Latin American artists offers some diversity to the local arts scene. The space is small but well utilized. The only caveat is the location/signage. If I hadn't been told about it, I might have just driven by.

I exhibited in the Sum Show 2016 and went to the opening reception. The gallery space accommodates art of from extremely large works to nice intimate spaces for smaller pieces, as well as space for sculpture and other media. I've been to a number of shows at the gallery and am an artist exhibiting in the Sum Show, and there have been great crowds that fit in the gallery comfortably. I love that it's downtown and connected to SU. I hope that the gallery continues to support our local art community that aren't just connected to the school. Thank you.

Point of Contact Art Gallery is a contemporary space affiliated to Syracuse University. It is located in downtown Syracuse, NY, close to hotels and other various attractions and restaurants. For those who are adept to contemporary visual arts, this could be a good place to visit. The exhibits have notably improved under the new administration. The place is easily accessible from highways. I do not rated it Excellent because at times, parking is not free (free only for receptions) Nevertheless, there are various city parking lots available, one directly across the street and a parking structure a block away from the gallery.
