I observed an unwelcoming and unpleasant experience with one of the employees at this gallery. While I understand that looking at one's phone is not ideal, I do not think it was appropriate to yell at a customer for looking at their phone when they have just walked in the door, acting quite hysterical. There is a polite way to ask to turn someone's phone off. There are also no signs for no use of phones or any type in this gallery which leads me to believe that this was her personal bias and not the gallery's. I do believe that this employee must have a preconceived judgement and dislike for people who use their phone's. Also this is the ABQ location in old town and most of the places are touristy who have their phones out.

Our family really likes RC Gorman's work. This gallery is free and is located in a central location of Old Town in ABQ. You can spend as little as $25 on some note cards or up to hundreds or even thousands of dollars. There are a wide range of prints. I had some questions about Gorman's painting of mothers and the staff person was very knowledgeable. Gorman did beautiful, unique painting. This is a great free place to enjoy his work, even if you do not buy anything.
