Staff is very nice. Hotel is very overpriced for what you get- loud highway right outside, and the stripped-down fixtures and furnishings make it feel cheap. Black mold in shower grout, signs of hard use on blinds, baseboards and furnishings. And a bathroom countertop that is ridiculously low even for a short woman (and this was not otherwise an ADA accessible room).

Location is great, beds and rooms are clean and nice. Service was pretty good. But…. The showers were so strong it was almost painful! Also if you have any food allergies they don’t have a list of ingredients for any of the “hot” foods offered at the breakfast area. I did speak with a manager who mentioned they will escalate this to thier general manager. I would stay again, if I had to, but those showers were brutal! (Multiple rooms in our party and all were the same)

Arrived after a long drive. Waited in lobby line watching person after person get turned away. Got to the desk and was told no rooms were clean and my pre-paid booking would not be honored. (The parking lot had zero spaces, so they were full.) The next day another rep told me when I called that my room had been given to someone else. (Again, pre-paid and confirmed my booking.) Not only did they make everyone wait in line for over 30 minutes instead of making an announcement that they gave away a large number of booked rooms, but they clearly don’t honor reservations. Pick another place. There are plenty in the area. I was lucky my booking service refunded me immediately the next day because nobody was available to address the issue at the hotel for the entire weekend.

I have travelled a lot for work in the last 3 1/2 years and I don't tend to write reviews but this team really deserves it. I didn't expect much because the rate was so affordable, however I have to say this has been (hands-down) the best hotel I've ever stayed at. This beats the resorts, the 4 seasons, the ritz and all the other expensive 200-300$ stays I've had both at home and overseas. Everything and everyone was beyond excellent. It smelled fantastic, the staff was attentive, the hotel bar was staffed by absolute professionals, they have a pool table, the cleaning staff was attentive and effective, the front desk staff was flexible, responsive and full of smiles. And it is so, so, so cute!!Somehow the lobby was always packed - there was no reason to go out when the good times were downstairs!I want to shout out : The cleaning staff who were absolutely amazing and so discrete I never got to meet and catch their names - my absolute gratitude. Ryan as the most awesome manager (?), Tatiana and Mellissa and the other front desk staff (forgive me for not catching your names) - this is what excellence in service looks like. Dionna Warfield King as the best bartender this proficient drinker has ever been served by - keep her and celebrate her: the syrup infusions, the hibiscus black salt, the bourbon knowledge and the best Hot Toddy i think anyone has ever had to drink. Probably the thing I will miss the most about Louisville!Be respectful and patient and treat them like the amazing, hospitable individuals they are and you will be taken care of.
