Fallbrook YMCA, is great for families. It's clean, family oriented and helps motivate healthy workout habits. This Y isn't intimtating if your self conscious and looking for a place to not feel judged, staff are friendly and usually very chipper. For the indoor pool it's always best to call ahead since there is no open swim during swim lessons which often take place from 5:15pm to 7:30pm most week days. For this Y being one of the newer ones in lincoln I was a little disappointed with the limited times available for Zumba/dance/cycling... since the schedule is not very consistent (ex:M,W,F or T,Th) majority of the classes are often during the day, so I'm unable to attend after getting off work at 5pm. I wish more classes and times were available for working parents ;) . The outdoor pool also closes after Labor day. My son was pretty sad we couldn't go to the outdoor pool this past week when it's been almost 90 and the pool is already closed :(... it would be wonderful if extra outdoor swim days were allowed, especially since the pool is still full with water ;) The staff take extra care to make sure workout machines are clean, monitors are shut off and clean towels are fully stocked. Tonight an employee walked passed my husband, son and I as we were leaving the pool and asked, Did you have a nice swim tonight?! We respond, yes! And he thanked us for coming in and to have a good night. His kindness was so appreciated and made us feel very welcomed! I highly recommend this Y to readers, family and friends! It's a great place to spend time as a family and to get active, especially when life is so busy!
