My husband did this last year without me and he raved nonstop, so we finally did it together yesterday and I am still smiling. If you are anywhere near San Diego you need to do this tour. West treated us like family and he is so well loved everywhere he goes. This is not just a tour, it’s a once in a lifetime experience.

My husband and I took the one-day Baja tour with West, and it genuinely ranks among the best tours we’ve taken anywhere in the world. He goes out of his way to make sure each guest has a great experience - amazing food, great photo spots, and real local highlights instead of the usual tourist traps. His knowledge of the area is impressive, and he clearly has strong relationships with the people and places along the route, which made the whole day feel more authentic and effortless.West is friendly, upbeat, and attentive, and we felt completely safe from start to finish. We covered a ton in one day but still left wishing we had more time in such a beautiful region. If you want to see the best of Baja in a single day with a guide who truly knows what he’s doing, we highly recommend this tour!

We did the tour in February with some friends and it was one of the best tours I have done. West, the tour guide was absolutely fantastic and because he knew everyone in Mexico, it made the day much more interesting. The tour was recommended by the daughter and son in law of our friends and it was superb. The food that was part of the tour was incredible and West definitely made the tour. Thank you for a fabulous day.

My wife and I took her younger brother to Mexico with Baja Border Tours for his first trip EVER out of the United States. He was a little hesitant but excited to go. There wasn't a full group (I think he only goes with six or more people, but we bought an extra seat) We met West on this side of the border and he immediately ingratiated himself to all of us. Just an incredible guy who is affable and super easy to get along with. Once he took us across, he took us to a market that we would've overshot had he not been with us. He took us to local taco stands and the owners clearly knew him and let all of us get service despite the popularity of the taco stands. Then to the border and the wall where we took time at (what's left of) Friendship Park. This is when the tour got really good when we went to Rosarito. It seems like everyone knew West there. He got us into El Nido to eat which was fantastic and gave us alone time to wander about the shops and such, got a beer. Then he took us to see someone he knew who was building a Wellness Spa property nearby which was cool. Then he took us by his apartment there (I know that sounds weird) but he was just showing us how some expats live down there, which, again, we wouldn't have done had we been alone. We had a great time at the big Jesus statue and took good pics. THEN, back to TJ. He took us to Michelin Star awarded Tacos el Franc which were STUPENDOUS--again, he got us to the front of the line. But the real magic were the many options available to him through his network of getting us back across the border expeditiously and safely. He was able to get us on a group bus that had it's own lane that let people walk across. Then we met him on the other side for a final send off. This was really a good tour. It seemed like you were travelling with a friend who knew all about that part of Mexico. West is a fluent Spanish speaker (from Columbia) but was a fmr. CNN videographer so he had a very energetic and get it done attitude. Really a great guy. We would recommend to anyone (except people who are just looking to go down and get trashed in Mexico) and would definitely do this again. Thank you, West!!!!
