Star Nursery began operations in Nevada in August 1983. The company was known as Southwest Landscape Supply, but was renamed Star Nursery in 1986. It operates retail/commercial nursery outlets in the Las Vegas Valley, Southern Utah and Arizona. In Las Vegas, Star Nursery has more than five stores in operation throughout the valley. Operations in Utah began in March 1992 and the company operates two retail/commercial nursery outlets in the Southern Utah area. In the fall of 1998, the company opened its second location. With two stores in the southern region of Utah, St. George and Washington, it provides shopping opportunities for everyone from the home gardener to the professional landscaper. Star Nursery is a privately owned company that employs nearly 75 people at its location in Las Vegas.
