Wish I read the reviews before booking. The good: lunch was decent, driver gd, tour operator gd but at times talked too much. I’m at the Grand Canyon for three hours I’d don’t want to spend 25mins in the parking lot listening to a guide. She was very knowledgeable though. The bad: They will take you to Mathers Lookout and leave you there will not take you to the village unless you pay another $20. You will have to walk 1 1/2 hours to the village if you don’t pay them. Feels like a scam to get $20 each out of everyone. It is like a 7 min bus ride. For this reason I gave a poor tip because already felt scammed for $40 extra

I was with my elderly parents and could only book the next thing based on their condition, hence after we reached Las Vegas on Aug 25, I tried to book west canyon tour for Aug 26.Almost all tour companies were fully booked. Canyontours.com had open slots.Canyontours.com showed 95 dollars, which was really cheap. I booked despite some of the bad reviews I saw here, thinking that well at least the company is real. I submitted my card details on Canyontours.com payment page. After I clicked pay, apparently this is not a real payment page because the payment is not done right then. The website took all my card details and forwarded to the operator in an email, which was super unsafe. Then the operator could charge any amount if a mistake was made. Then I saw a transaction of 110*3!! in my card transaction. I called Canyontours.com hotline, and the lady said there is a line on Canyontours.com, which says 15 fuel charge. I said you cannot do that to mislead customers. I want a refund. She refused to refund, stating that it is too close to the tour date. I opened Canyontours.com again and saw a font size 10 tiny note under the terms and conditions saying $15 fuel charge, which is really ridiculous.I was like... fine i can swallow this. I just hope the bus will take us to the real places. The next day, Canyontours.com picked us up from bellagio hotel and asked us to get down after 5mins, to get on another bus. To my surprise, Canyontours.com passed my family and some others to national park express tour bus. My guess is that if one tour company's bus is somewhat empty, the companies would transfer all passengers to each other for consolidation.I checked national park express's website, and their tour price is 109, $1 less than cayon tours. I was like, fine... I can live with this. The actual tour was good. The lady captain from national park express was amazing and kept us entertained. We did not have much cash, but tipped her 20, which was not great for her (sorry). The whole booking experience was very dissapointing, but the tour under national park express was great.So... the conclusion... I would highly recommend a website that processes your card detail securely and accepts payment on a secure page, and also do not mislead customers by stating a price and add a small note of $15 fuel charge under the terms.

I booked this tour, with Canyon Tours, for September 13th 2024 on July 26th 2024.As advised in the confirmation email I tried to phone the company, on my arrival in Las Vegas on September 12th, to confirm that I would be doing the tour and that I would be at MGM hotel at 04.45 as the company did not do pickups at the hotel where I was staying. The phone number in the email did not work so I sent an email to confirm the rendezvous instead.I found an alternative phone number and spoke to someone to confirm the pickup.I duly arrived at MGM at 04.30.I waited until 06.00 before giving up on what was a lost cause.I then emailed the company to express my dissatisfaction and to request a refund.Four days later I still have not received a reply to this email.Which leads me to wonder if this is due to incompetence, indifference or even a scam.Utterly scandalous. You have been warned.Avoid at all costs. To be clear, as there are so many tours inLas Vegas, this review refers to Canyon [email protected] : 00-1-702-948-4190 or 00-1-702-260-0796.While I sympathise with the suggestion of a class action, I would suggest disputing the payment with your credit card provider and hit them in the pocket. And tell everyone you know to avoid them at all costs.

I was going to file a personal lawsuit but looks like a class action may be an option as well. Currently stranded at the Grand Canyon and can't get to Vegas because of this company. Do not book them.

The tour operator changed specific tginvs last minute. Viator no help and had to cancel the trip of a lifetime. Crap! Asked specifically that bus had toilets. They changed the bus to a mini bus last minute again told it had toilets. Asked Viator numerous times because we couldn’t get hold of tour operator, surprise surprise! They kept saying that the mini bus had toilets. Guess what! It didn’t and would never have booked without it for an 8 hour coach trip. Had to cancel the trip of a lifetime and then pay over the odds for a last minute deal through the hotel. Shocking for a company like Viator and will now seek to get the extra £50 we had to pay on top of a pre planned trip
